MARTENICA

Hello!

I have an idea generated by the pleasure I feel in the organization and my work with little children in Bulgarian school in Los Angeles “Ivan Vazov”, an idea which is about to become reality with your help, having become a common initiative.
All of us who are engaged with the mission of  spreading Bulgarian language  and culture, read and write throughout the world. Supported by “official” Bulgaria, with perspective on aid and other institutions.

The initiative is all Bulgarian schools, almost all of them united in the Association of Bulgarian Schools Abroad (ABUCH) in the world and says “MARTENITSA”
/ In fact, not one, but two::)) – the prime minister and President. Hundreds … see below /

Conditions:
- Every school in the world makes its own call for martenitzas manufactured by children, teachers and directors or special committee in which they may enter and artists, selected only two martenitsa. In the construction and rankings can and it is desirable to include children outside school.

What do I need?
… Mainly white and red scarlet and good mood!

1. … Tell his countrymen of the schools and communities that this is an international initiative of Bulgarians …

4. NORTHERN AMERICA
U.S. collecting envelopes with martenitzas will be in one place – School “John Atanasov” – Chicago (in the middle of the USA) and from there be sent by courier in Sofia. Faster, safer and cheaper (the same “package of documents with the same price are sent by courier when the weight will not be a problem if you follow the requirements martenitzas have only one card in the envelope your school and that he be placed in the envelope to the courier).

Please check delivery time from your location in the world to Sofia, Bulgaria.

For the media – will be given a specially made ready text – riliys press: for example … students of Bulgarian schools in the world have started to knit martenitzas to participate in the race, who should be sent to the president and prime minister. Media partners are …. ”

Miscellaneous:
- The initiative provides absolute independence from beginning to the end for all parties – in every school and every Bulgarian child in the world, organizations
- Does not require any expenditure except for mail or courier
- The initiative has been endorsed by so many schools!
- I have confirmation from the BTA, which is the main media partner of the initiative MARTENITSA will spread and affect all stages and the information sent across the globe. Will liaise directly with the Bulgarian media worldwide to provide additional support, at least not to pay for adverts in the initiative.
Will organize a special press conference at the BTA, which will reflect the results – most likely on 1 March 2010. (Monday). Will ensure information and photo material from the service of the President and Prime Minister.
- If you have time to be chosen “patron” of the initiative, if it does not now, then probably go after this year’s MARTENITSA, or we will invite someone to subsequent years

Perspective OF INITIATIVE “MARTENICA 2010″
What is the farthest and most objective and what we can expect for next?
My idea is that this initiative should continue to strongly forward in time!
However, 1 and 3 March are only Bulgarian holidays and have only our traditions and positive symbolism for centuries!
There is hardly another country in the world that can “remove” as pure and valuable symbol – MARTENITSA, which also is NOT expensive and all can make it by them self or afford it! It is also easy to send! Kitsch not to wear, causing interest in its various forms!
For example, martenici for the President Obama and the lapel of a bracelet for his wife to bear their health! Sounds funny, but many Americans enjoy similar things! This is my opinion – I live there. By adding one page of the local language with explanations about the symbolism … and the picture becomes “colored” and attractive! You can use the txts from this website./
Everything about the initiative can be done (making and sending) on the ground, and from Bulgaria to continue to promote the initiative, which have already confirmed and for their help with organizing events during March 1-3 each year.
Furthermore, it would help to “census” and that it “with another future” – born out! Generations has changed already!
Next year we will start much earlier and there will be more interesting events that will offer!
Moreover, on March 1 matenitsa “opens door” for the national holiday on March 3!
So, fully promote national dignity for 3 DAYS ONLY!

Without you – Bulgarian schools in the world – nothing will happen!
